Google Play Music is celebrating the invention of the phonograph by offering $2.99 albums.

Download MP3 songs from SXSW 2010 through torrents. The torrent contains 646 DRM-free MP3 songs and is 3.35 GB in size.

iTunes users will be able to download a free sampler of 15 songs from the House of Soul, featuring music from Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Budos Band, Sugarman Three, Lee Fields among other artists. In addition to that users will also be able to download 20 free songs from the Artists to Watch sampler featuring upcoming artists including Fanfarlo, Cold Cave, Local Natives and Surfer Blood. That is a total of 35 free songs.

Honda has teamed up with Rhapsody – RealNetwork’s online music service, to offer free full MP3 downloads. No registration or personal information is required.

iTunes has a free sampler in collaboration with Starbucks, which allows users to download 20 songs for free. The songs that you get include: Cloud Nine by Ben Howard, A few Honest Words by Ben Sollee, I am not a farmer by Bill Frisell, Easy by Deer Tick, Belated Promise Ring by Iron & Wine among others.

iTunes Holiday Sampler is offering 20 Christmas Carols and Holiday Songs for free for a week. Songs include O Come All ye Faithful by Amy Grant, Silent Night by Sarah McLachlan and We Wish You A Merry Christmas by Weezer.
