Mobile Mondays | Windows Phone 7 Launched, Nokia Announces C5-03 And More

Mobile Monday is back with a bang! Welcome to the first edition of the new Mobile Mondays. This week we saw the launch of Windows Phone 7 and nine Windows Phone 7 powered smartphones. Apart from that two amazing smartphones, Nokia N8 and BlackBerry Torch was launched in India. Angry Bird, the popular game for iPhone was released for Android and withing 24 hours, the game was downloaded 1 million times. Lets start the first edition of Mobile Mondays with some interesting news, views and related stuffs.

This week HTC launched 5 new Windows Phone 7 powered smartphone – HTC 7 Surround, HTC HD7, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Pro and HTC Mozart. The HTC Surround features a 3.8 inch WVGA display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording and more. It also has an integrated stereo speakers, Dolby Mobile, SRS Surround Sound and audience noise suppression. HTC HD7 comes with a 4.3 inch TFT touchscreen display, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording and so on.

Samsung:

Samsung announced 2 Windows Phone 7 powered smartphones and launched 3 Bada OS powered smartphone in Russia. Samsung unveiled Windows Phone 7 powered Samsung Focus and Samsung Omnia 7. In Russia, Samsung launched Bada OS powered Samsung Wave 525, Samsung Wave 575 and Samsung Wave 533.

LG:

LG also launched 2 Windows Phone 7 powered smartphones – LG Optimus 7 and LG Quantum. Both the handset comes with a 5 megapixel cameras with autofocus and LED flash, 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16 GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, A-GPS and much more. The LG Optimus 7 comes with a 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display while the LG Quantum features a 3.5 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

This week Nokia announced a new budget touchscreen phone, the Nokia C5-03. It features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, Symbian S60v5 OS, 5 megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom, Wi-Fi, 3G Connectivity, music player, stereo FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, 40MB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory, 2GB microSD card included 4.5 hours of talktime on 3G, 25 days of stand-by time and 1000 mAH battery. Nokia also launched N8, the much awaited smartphone in India. It comes with a price tag of Rs.26,259.

BlackBerry Torch is the first handset which runs on the new BlackBerry 6 operating system and the first handset to feature the combination of a full touch screen display with an iconic BlackBerry keyboard. It comes with a 3.2 inch touch screen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with 2X digital zoom, 3G Connectivity, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR, 4 GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory, built-in GPS with BlackBerry Maps, up to 30 hours music playback, up to 18 days Standby Time, up to 5.5 hours talk-time and 1300 mAHr lithium-ion battery.

Mobile Mondays | HTC Evo 4G Announced, Xperia X10 Launched And More

Welcome to the Third Edition of Mobile Mondays. This week two powerful smartphones were announced at CTIA 2010. On the other hand, Sony Ericsson launched the most awaited Xperia X10 and Vivaz in India. There were reports that claimed HTC is planning to launch budget smartphones in the US. This week was amazing since many smartphones were launched and few of the most awaited handsets were available for purchase. Lets start the third edition of Mobile Mondays with some interesting news, views and related stuffs.

HTC:

The most rumored HTC Supersonic smartphone, which was expected to be announced this week was finally unveiled at the CTIA 2010. HTC Supersonic is now officially known as HTC EVO 4G and it will be launched on the airwaves of Sprint. HTC EVO 4G is the Sprint’s first smartphone which has a 4G connectivity.

Budget smartphones which are mostly sold in emerging markets will also be sold in the US, thanks to HTC, since they are planning to launch HTC Smart and other budget smartphones in the US from next month. HTC Desire which was expected to launch today in the UK on the airwaves of T-Mobile UK was delayed by one week due to some unknown reason.

HTC HD2 was finally launched this week on the airwaves on T-Mobile USA. The early reports showed that this handset is a huge hit in the US and the device was completely sold out within 4 hours of the launch.

Samsung officially unveiled the powerful Samsung Galaxy S this week at CTIA 2010. This handset is powered by Android 2.1 operating system and it runs on a 1 GHz Application Processor. Some notable features of this handset include a 4 inches Super AMOLED touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording, 3G connectivity, A-GPS, 32GB expandable memory and much more.

Samsung also launched the stylish Diva S7070 in the UK. This handset is specially designed for female users. Within a few days, a Gold Edition of this handset was announced. The Gold Edition of Samsung Diva S7070 will be available for purchase in the UK on the airwaves of T-Mobile UK and Orange.

Sony Ericsson:

This week, Sony Ericsson launched the most awaited Xperia X10 and Vivaz in India. They also announced Xperia X10 Mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro and Vivaz Pro, which will be available in the coming months. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is priced at Rs. 35,795 while Vivaz comes with a price tag of Rs. 25,695.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is expected to go on sale from next month in the UK. This device will start shipping from April 30 onwards. This handset will come with a price tag of £339.99 (approx. $500). You can pre-order this handset at Play.com.

LG Remarq is a eco-friendly phone which was recently launched on the airwaves of the wireless carrier Sprint. This handset is made from 87 percent of recyclable materials and 19 percent of recycled plastic. Mobile Mondays | OVI Magazine, HTC Incredible Rumors And More

Welcome to the Second Edition of Mobile Mondays. I’m sure most of you were waiting for the second edition of the Mobile Mondays. This week we haven’t seen any major product launches or leaked pics and rumors of upcoming devices, but this week was full of excitement as release dates and pricing of many handsets were revealed. Check out some interesting stuffs of this week below.

Nokia:

Nokia hasn’t unveiled a single handset in this week but it has definitely made us happy by launching the Nokia E72 in a new purple color. Nokia E72 is the company’s most popular business phone which was launched last year. This handset is now available in a beautiful purple color with the same price tag of $359.

Microsoft’s Silverlight is now officially available for Symbian S60 v5 touchscreen devices such as Nokia N97, N97 Mini and Nokia 5800. You can download Silverlight for Symbian and view Silverlight applications right inside your mobile browser.

This week we saw some leaked images of Nokia C6, an affordable slider phone which runs on a Symbian S60 operating system. This handset looks like the slider version of Nokia 5230 and it is expected to be announced soon.

This week LG launched three news handsets, Cookie Plus, Cookie Fresh and Cookie Pep. All the handsets comes with full touchscreen display and it is expected to be launched in 50 countries at the end of this month. LG Cookie Plus will come with a 3G connectivity, while LG Cookie Pep will sport a 3 megapixel camera.

HTC:

There is a good news for HTC Tattoo users as HTC has confirmed that HTC Tattoo will be receiving the Android 2.1 update. HTC Tattoo users can take the full advantage of Multi-touch technology which comes with the Android 2.1 update.

HTC is also planning to launch the lighter version of Nexus One in India. The launch date and price of this handset is not announced yet, but the availability of this device is confirmed by Google India’s head, Mr.Shailesh Rao.

Apple iPhone:

While everyone have kept their fingers crossed to know what’s new in the latest version of iPhone, we saw some fake images of iPhone 4G in this week. Lets hope the latest version of iPhone, which is expected to launch in June 2010, comes with support for 4G network, a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and full Bluetooth functionality.
