LG eXpo is the first handset from South Korean mobile phone manufacturer LG, that comes with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This device also comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3G connectivity and a 5 mega-pixel camera.
LG eXpo runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS and it includes some excellent features such as 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash and auto-focus, 3G, Wi-Fi, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 512 MB internal memory, 16 GB expandable memory and so on.
Other features include Microsoft Office Mobile, audio and video player, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, USB, voice dialing, Optional LG Mobile Projector, Smart Sensor fingerprint recognition, Pocket Office, Xpress Mail with access to Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Yahoo! Mail, AOL, Windows Live and much more.
LG eXpo comes with support for 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS and UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900/2100 MHz) frequencies and a 1500mAh Lithium Ion battery that provides 3 hours of talk time or up to 10 days of standby time.
This handset is priced at $199.99 after mail-in rebate, with a two-year contract agreement from AT&T on a minimum $69.99 plan. The LG Mobile Projector is expected to be priced at $179.99.
LG Electronics has recently unveiled the specifications list of its GW525 handset on the LG Mobile Developer Network’s Website with some excellent features. LG Mobile Developer’s website is reportedly aimed at the North and South American markets.
The GW525 is a quad-band 3GSM slide phone that offers push social networking updates allowing consumers to receive alerts from multiple social network sites as they are posted. It features HSDPA connectivity up to 7.2 Mbps, 2.8 inch touchscreen display, full slide out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel digital camera, stereo FM radio, music player and video player,the company says about this handset.
LG GW525 is a full touchscreen phone with slide out QWERTY keyboard. It includes an ARM9 processor and supports data transmission through 3G, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA. It also comes with a 2.8-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display, 256 MB internal memory, expandable upto 8 GB, 128 MB RAM and 3 mega-pixel camera.
Other features include Bluetooth 2.1, PC Sync capabilities, Email support, Flash Lite 3.0, multimedia player, image viewer and FM Radio. The price of this handset is not yet announced. It is expected to launch first in North American and South American markets, after that it will enter European and other markets.
After the great success of LG Cookie, which was sold in more than 7 million units till now, LG Electronics announced the launch of yet another touchscreen phone, the all new LG GD510. The company calls this new touchscreen phone, “Pop”.
LG GD510 comes with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a 3.0 megapixel camera with an excellent video recording capabilities, a narrow 4.8 mm bezel, a single button to operate the menu, 8GB of internal memory space, music and video player, connectivity with social networking sites and much more. The LG GD510 is crafted from brushed aluminum which gives it a high-end look.
According to the press release,
LG’s consumer research showed that a large group of consumers wanted the functionality of a full touchscreen phone without the extra bulk and unnecessary features that resulted in higher prices. According to the research, many users were also put off by the complexity of feature-laden phones but still desired the easier navigation and larger screens of full touchscreen phones. The LG GD510 was designed to include the key features these users craved, without the overhead of features they didn’t use.
We gave the LG GD510 an optimized feature set which allowed us to concentrate on making the phone more compact and simpler to use,said Dr. Skott Ahn, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. Our high-end phones like the Black Label Series New LG Chocolate (LG BL40) may be getting all the attention but there’s a gap in the market for affordable touchscreen phones that we want to fill. The LG GD510 delivers all the essentials in communication, multimedia and entertainment and comes in a compact form factor as well.
