Kyocera recently launched a new entry-level smartphone, the Kyocera Event. This handset runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System, however, it may or may not be upgraded to the newer Android 4.1 OS. The Kyocera Event is exclusively available for Virgin Mobile subscribers without any contract. This handset is specially targeted for those who are planning to jump from feature phones to smartphones. Check out the complete specs below.

Kyocera Event features a 3.5 inch HVGA touchscreen display, sporting a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS, 1 GHz single-core processor, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and camcorder, 3G Connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n and much more.
Other features include a 3.5 mm headset jack, 4 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 512 MB RAM, GPS, Google Play Store, Stereo Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, up to 8.7 hours of talk-time, up to 6.25 days of stand-by time and a 1500 mAh battery. This handset measures 4.5 × 2.4 × 0.46 inches and weighs 4.1 oz.
Virgin Mobile USA is currently selling the black version of Kyocera Event for $79.99 without any service agreement. A red version of the phone will be available exclusively at RadioShack from March 3, 2013.
