Cricket fans all over the world have another reason to cheer. The world’s biggest  cricketing  action IPL (Indian Premier League) can be experienced right inside your browser. Google has recently tied up with IPL for live streaming of matches on YouTube for an undisclosed sum.

“We think this is important to ensure every cricket lover in the world, wherever he or she is able to watch all IPL matches live through one of these mediums. We are ensuring that IPL is available throughout the world in every country starting this season.” said Lalit Modi, the IPL chairman and commissioner.

Google will stream live IPL matches from March 12 to April 25, 2010 on YouTube. This event will include 59 live matches. It will be quite beneficial for the countries where the IPL broadcast is not available or for those people who does not have cable TV access or doesn’t want to buy any paid subscriptions.

IPL also provided the live streaming of matches in the previous season using Microsoft Silverlight technology. Before IPL, live streaming of a rock concert by the U2 band in November 2008 was organized by YouTube. Checkout the complete schedule of IPL below.

The third season of the Indian Premier League is a about to kick off later this year. However, the more interesting part of players being auctioned will be done today.

All the 8 franchises have a budget of USD 750,000 to purchase new players with. A total of 67 players are up for 3rd IPL player auction. The auction is set to begin in the next few hours and should be interesting to watch.

The most exciting players at the auction would be Keiron Pollard from West Indies, who has made a big mark in the T20 format. In addition to that, several other Pakistani Players would be good buys too. Many of the Pakistani players have already made some sort of impact at the Australian series, so it would be interesting to see how many of them get bought by the franchises.

The 3rd IPL 2010 players auction is set to begin at 11 AM IST, and will continue for few hours. In addition to being telecast on television users will also be able to view the auction live online through streaming provided by the official IPL T20 site at IPLT20.com. So, if you are unable to watch the telecast on a TV, you can head over to the site to watch the live videos.
