iPhone 4G/HD Leaks Continue [Specifications/Pictures/Videos]

Apple may be hell bent on punishing Gizmodo for the iPhone 4G/HD leaks, but they aren’t the only ones who have managed to get their hands on a next gen iPhone. Not one but two Vietnamese websites have managed procure iPhone 4G prototypes. First off, it was Tinhte (who also managed to get their hands on secret new MacBook model), and now it is MainGuyen.

Neither of the leaked iPhone handsets had the iPhone OS on them. While Tinhte’s device was running “Bonfire” test routine, MainGuyen’s handset had something called “Inferno”.

According to Digitimes, iPhone 4G will sport a super high quality in-plane switching (IPS), fringe-field switching (FFS) display with a resolution of 960×640. FFS enables a wider viewing angle and provides clear display even under direct sunlight. IPhone 4G/HD will be powered by ARM Cortex A8 processor, along with a 512MB memory module from Samsung Electronics. Approximately 24 million units of iPhone 4G are expected to be shipped in 2010.

iPhone 4G Images Leaked From Vietnam

4G, which is the next generation of iPhone devices has been under a lot of speculation. Just last month we posted some videos of iPhone HD, which was reportedly the next generation of iPhone, along with some so cute fake iPhone 4G images.

However, the folks at Giz posted some true images of the iPhone 4G which was found in a bar in San Francisco and for which we had tips to get an hands on, but albeit we could not.

Nevertheless, this time around there are some new leaked images of the iPhone 4G which have been reportedly been seen in Vietnam by Gizmodo.

So what do you think? Is this device the real iPhone 4G, or would you wait for Steve Jobs to actually come on stage and show the device to you?

Gray Powell Gets Complimentary Flight To Munich and Free Beer For Loosing His iPhone

Although, Gizmodo’s decision to publicly name and shame Gray Powell was despicable, we are glad that at least something good is coming out of it (and no Gizmodo, you don’t get to take the credit for this).

To cut a long story short, Gray Powell – a software engineer at Apple, misplaced his iPhone in a bar. This was picked up by an unknown person who sold it to Gizmodo. After dissecting the prototype for a month, Gizmodo fired a slew of posts in which they publically named Gray Powell.

Lufthansa Airlines – the largest airline in Europe (in terms of overall passengers carried), has offered Gray Powell free business class transportation to Munich to check out some of the finest German Beer. Quite obviously, Lufthansa Airlines is trying to milk the situation to gain some free publicity. But, we don’t mind. Gray Powell has possibly had a harrowing time over the past couple of days and he definitely needs a break.

It will be interesting to see if Powell accepts the offer. I get a feeling that he won’t. Nevertheless, kudos to Lufthansa for some clever marketing. Here is the open letter shared by Nicola Lange, Lufthansa’s marketing director for the Americas.
