The HTC or the T-Mobile G2 has been all over the Internet for the past few days. There were a lot of speculations whether the G2 will be using the same old Snapdragon CPU or the new MSM7230 CPU. A leaked ROM of the G2 confirmed that the device will be using the newer and faster MSM7230 CPU from Qualcomm. The MSM7230 CPU is based on the 45nm fabrication and integrates an Adreno 205GPU, along with the Scorpion CPU. The T-Mobile G2 will be the first device to support HSPA+.
Now, the folks over at Tmonews have managed to get their hands dirty with some leaked screenshots which shows that the T-Mobile G2 will be launched on September 29th. The leaked image also suggests that the HTC Vision and the HTC Vanguard is the same device, popularly known as the T-Mobile G2. Rumors also suggest that the device will be up for pre-order from August 31/September 1.
HTC will be hosting an event in London on 15th September, where they will be announcing their upcoming phones. Interestingly, this date coincides with the Nokia World date of 14-15 September in London.
Talking about HTC, the phones which are expected to be officially announced on the event are HTC Desire HD (Ace) and HTC Desire Z (Vision). The HTC desire HD is rumored to have a 4.3 inch WVGA AMOLED screen (maybe S-LCD). The internal memory is expected to be 4GB and the external microSD will be expandable up to 32GB. Desire HD will be having a 8MP camera with dual LED flash and 720P video recording. It will come with Android 2.2. out-of-the-box and will have Qualcomm 1GHz processor.
The HTC Vision will have a smaller 3.7 inch WVGA TFT screen and physical QWERTY keyboard. The internal memory is rumored to be 1.2GB and the external will be expandable up to 32GB. The camera resolution is still unknown. It will come with Android 2.1 and 1GHz processor.
These are just two phones from HTC which are running hot in rumor mill. We can hope to see more than these two devices from HTC in the event. So stay tuned for HTC’s “Dream”.
Remember the HTC Vision we told you about? Well, according to the latest information from Engadget it looks like the HTC Vision is headed to T-Mobile with a different name. The handset is expected to be renamed to HTC G1 Blaze and will be sold under the T-Mobile network.
The HTC Vision/G1 Blaze packs in a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 3.7-inch (AMOLED/S-LCD) screen with a 480×800 resolution. The device will be running on Android 2.1 when launched. The phone is also expected to pack in 1.2Gb of onboard memory. The T-Mobile name of the Vision G1 Blaze looks like a tribute to the first Android phone – the G1.
HTC Vision/G1 Blaze is expected to hit the UK in October. Hopefully, we will see HTC release more QWERTY keyboard based high-end Android phones in the future.
Looks like the Motorola Droid and the Droid 2 finally have some competition from HTC. The folks over at Njuskalo.hr managed to get their hands on the HTC Vision. The HTC Vision is the keyboard-equipped sibling of the Desire. The phone has a 3.7-inch AMOLED display with 800×480 resolution. In all probability, the phone will pack in a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and 576MB of RAM.
It is also said that the phone will have 1.2GB of onboard memory. The usual HTC Sense will also be present. Since the phone’s configuration is similar to the HTC Desire, the camera of the phone should also be 5MP. From the leaked pictures, it is confirmed that the handset will feature a 4-row QWERTY keyboard. Sadly, the device will run Android 2.1 a.k.a Eclair when launched.
HTC are yet to announce the phone officially, but hopefully it will not take too long. The expected price of the device will be around $650.
