Verizon recently announced a new software update for the powerful HTC Thunderbolt smartphone. The new software update offers enhanced data connectivity when accessing the Verizon 3G network.

HTC and Verizon have finally gone ahead and announced the release date of the highly anticipated – HTC Thunderbolt.

The HTC Thunderbolt has not been released to the public but the developers have already managed to gain root access to the phone.

After numerous leaks, the HTC Thunderbolt has finally been unveiled by Verizon and HTC at the CES 2011. The HTC Thunderbolt features a mammoth 4.3-inch S-LCD screen with WVGA (800×480) resolution.
