Quite a few weeks ago, we had reported that HTC will soon be rolling out the Android 2.2 update for the HTC Legend. However, starting from today the company has started rolling out the Android 2.2 update for the unlocked Legend handsets in Europe.

It was exactly ten days ago that HTC had announced that the Legend will get its Android 2.2 (Froyo) update ‘in the coming weeks.’ Now, in less than a couple of weeks since the announcement, Vodafone UK has started rolling out Android 2.2 update for the Legend.

When Android 2.2 was released by Google, HTC had promised that most of their phones launched in 2010 will be getting the update. However, after that only the Desire Android 2.2 update was the most talked about.

HTC has launched a black version of the Legend in Europe. The HTC Legend is made up of a single block of an aluminum and looks stellar. In fact, I personally feel that the Legend is one of the best looking Android handset out there in the market.

The updates for Legend, Desire and Wildfire will all roll out in the third quarter of this year. New features include speed, adobe air support and flash update.
