The Nokia N900 was the first phone from Nokia running on the Maemo OS. The company positioned the handset as a modder’ friendly phone. However, that ROM were full of bugs. Now, a fully functional Android 2.2 ROM for the N900 is out.

The latest version of Android ROM from folks over at NITDroid project is pretty good for day-to-day use. It adds the main functionality which was missing from previous ROMs the ability to make and receive calls. Below is the video of Android 2.2 in action on the Nokia N900-:

Along with this, the ROM also supports various data connection including EDGE and 3G. Even the physical QWERTY keyboard of the N900 is supported. The only downside of this ROM is that the camera does not work.
