Fly MV282 Dual-SIM Multimedia Phone Launched In India For Rs.2,889

Fly Mobiles recently launched a new multimedia phone, Fly MV282. This handset comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) capabilities. Fly MV282 features the King Movie technology, which is basically a high rate compression video format. It allows the user to store ample of music videos and movies in a limited storage space and provides better user experience. The King Movie technology reduces the video to 1/10th of the original size.

Fly MV 282 features a 2.8 inch QVGA TFT display, sporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, dual-SIM (GSM+GSM), 2 megapixel camera, video recording capabilities, GPRS/EDGE, WAP Browser, MP3 ringtones, English/Hindi support, Auto Call Recording, Call Conference, Torch Light and so on.

Other features include a 3.5mm headset jack, Audio Player with Equalizer, SMS Blacklist, Anti Theft, 613 KB internal memory, 32 GB expandable memory, T-Flash card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, 1000 phonebook entries, up to 400 hrs of stand-by time, up to 15 hrs of talk-time and a 2000 mAh battery.

This handset allows you to stay connected with your family and friends, thanks to the pre-installed Nimbuzz app. The user can not only set a gif image as a wallpaper, but the user can also set a video on the idle screen. The Fly MV282 multimedia phone comes with a price tag of just Rs.2,889 (approx. $60) in India.

Tata Indicom And Fly Mobile Unveils CG 588 QWERTY Phone

Tata Teleservices Limited and Fly Mobile, the mobile handset brand of UK-based Meridian Group, recently announced the launch of its new handset, the CG588. This handset comes with a full QWERTY keypad, mobile e-mail service, dual-SIM (GSM+CDMA), GPRS, 1.3 megapixel camera and so on. It also comes with Nimbuzz and Snaptu applications which allows you to stay connected with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites at speeds of up to 153 Kbps.

Fly CG 588 features a 262K color TFT display, 1.3 megapixel camera, full QWERTY keyboard with five-way scroll, dual-SIM (CDMA+GSM), supports both voice and data up to 153Kbps, MP3 player, FM radio, 3.5 mm universal audio jack, 4GB expandable memory, Bluetooth, up to 300 hours of stand-by time, up to 8 hours hours of talk-time, 1500 mAH battery and more.

This handset comes with a price tag of Rs.4,795. With a first recharge of Rs.104, Tata Indicom subscribers will get 1 GB free data usage, 250 local On Net minutes, 250 Local Off Net minutes and 250 SMSs worth Rs.1,500.

Fly DS 110i: Affordable Dual SIM Handset with Extended Battery Backup

Amidst all the media frenzy surrounding the Androids, the Blackberries and the iPhones, it might be quite easy to forget that most Indians still do not own a smartphone. While processor speed and the operating system are the main selling points of high-end phones, the budget phones simply try to stick to the basics and to do them well.
