A new Facebook scam is spreading which takes advantage of the current economy by posting a link with various messages on how a “Mom earns $6,795 a month from home”.

A new hoax message has emerged out on the social networking site Facebook, with users creating awareness of the message asking their friends not to accept friend requests sent by “Kelly Hargrove”, “Jason Lee”, or “Linda Smith”, since it is a virus. The message that users are sharing on the network is false and is completely not in accordance with fact or reality.

A new video scam called “OMG Check Out This Jumping Crab”, similar to the check out my home video scam is spreading on Facebook. The scam is dangerous because it downloads a virus/malware to your computer.

Another new video scam is spreading on Facebook where users are being enticed with names of celebrities and more spreading a so called “homemade video”.

Yet another scam related to Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez has been found spreading on the social networking site, Facebook. The new scam titled – “Omg. There was a hidden camera in Selena & Justin’s bedroom” is spreading across the social network and has already attracted thousands of users to click on the scam link.

Just last week, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and today we noticed a fake giveaway contest held on Facebook, which offers to give free Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablets to users of the social networking site. Fake Facebook pages like this are created by scammers in order to trick users to “like” or “Join” a contest and get them to enter personal and financial details. Users generally fall for such tricks and end up giving their credentials, which are then misused by the scammer.

Looks like those usual survey scams are back on Facebook. The latest scam we have found is the $1000 Visa Gift Card scam where users are asked to complete a set of online surveys in order to win a $1000 gift card from Visa.
