Fly Mobiles recently launched a new multimedia phone, Fly MV282. This handset comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) capabilities. Fly MV282 features the King Movie technology, which is basically a high rate compression video format. Samsung SCH-W999 is a Dual-Screen, Dual-SIM Clamshell Android Phone Heading To China Telecom

Samsung has announced a new wacky Android running handset headed to China, the SCH-W999. This dual-screen, flip phone packs in two 3.5-inch Super-AMOLED displays with WVGA (480×800) resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor from Qualcomm (S3), and comes with 1GB RAM.


The phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Sammy’s own TouchWiz UI jazzing up the stale Gingerbread’s UI a bit. Other usual features like GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, WAPI and a bunch of sensors. At the back of this dual-screen, clamshell phone is a 5MP camera.

Besides being a dual-screen phone, the phone is also a dual-SIM one with GSM and CDMA network support. The SCH-W999 is headed to China Telecom for an unknown price and will be released at an unknown date.

Looking at the way how some dual-screen Android running phones have failed in the past, I doubt Samsung will even think about releasing this handset outside of China.

Nokia 100 and 101 Announced; Low-End Phones with FM Radio On-Board

Nokia is on a spree of announcing new phones! Yesterday, the company announced three new Symbian Belle powered phones, the Nokia 600, 700 and 701. Today, the company has announced two new handsets, the Nokia 100 and 101. Unlike the handsets announced yesterday, both the handsets announced today are low-end ones, and are meant for the emerging market.


The Nokia 100 and 101 are powered by the Series 30 OS. Both the handsets also come with a color display, FM radio and a flashlight on-board. The main difference between the Nokia 100 and 101 is that the latter is a dual-SIM phone, while the former is not. The 101 also comes with an MP3 player, 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot. The handsets will also have an exceptionally good battery life, and can last up to 25 days on standby.

In selected markets, the handsets will come with Nokia Life Tools pre-installed as well. The Nokia 101 will go on sale in emerging markets like China and India from this quarter, itself. The Nokia 100 will be launched sometime in the next quarter. The Nokia 100 will retail for €20 and the 101 will retail for €25, excluding taxes and subsidies.

Nokia Announces The Nokia C2-03 Dual SIM Phone

Nokia recently announced the Nokia C2-03 dual-SIM phone with with Touch and Type technology at the Nokia Connection in Singapore.. The Nokia C2-03 is company’s third Touch and Type device and the first device to feature a Dual-SIM functionality with the Touch and Type form factor. Nokia C2-03 comes with the Easy Swap feature which allows you to open the slot on the side of the phone and insert the new SIM, without the need to reboot the device.

LG Unveils A155 And A120 Dual SIM Phones

LG recently unveiled two new entry level phones, A155 and A120. Both the handsets comes with basic features such as speakerphone, Music player, Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) capability, FM Radio, GRPS/EDGE and so on. Sadly, none of the handsets comes with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

LG A155 is a simple candybar phone featuring a small 2 inch TFT display wihh 144 x 176 pixels resolution, Music player, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, MicroSD card slot, 2 GB expandable memory, Alarm, Calendar, up to 200 hours standby time, up to 3 hours 30 minutes talktime and a 900 mAh battery. LG A120 comes with a 1.77 inch display with 128 x 160 pixels resolution, FM radio, Dual SIM, dual speaker, integrated flashlight, up to 1300 hours of standby time, up to 13 hours of talktime and so on.

The price of LG A155 is not announced yet, but it is expected to cost less than $100. LG A120 comes with a price tag of 1690 rubles (approx.$55) and it is currently available only in Russia. Both the handsets are expected to launch soon in India and other Asian and European markets.
