Nokia recently unveiled the newest member of its Asha family, the Nokia Asha 310. It is the company’s first dual-SIM device which comes with the much needed Wi-Fi connectivity. The Nokia Asha 310 comes pre-loaded with Nokia Xpress Browser, which compresses Internet data by up to 90% and delivers a fast browsing experience. This handset comes with the Nokia’s unique Easy Swap technology which allows you to switch SIM cards without turning off the phone.

Sony Unveils The Android 4.1 Powered Xperia E Smartphone

Sony recently unveiled the Android powered Xperia E smartphone. It is the company’s first device to ship with the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. Sony Xperia E will be available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. This handset features noise cancellation that filters out background noise and allows you to have clear conversations in any environment.

Samsung Launches The Dual-SIM Galaxy Note II In China

Samsung Galaxy Note II is the company’s second phone/tablet hybrid device. It was unveiled in September at the IFA 2012 event in Berlin. This device is selling like hot cakes in most of the Asian and European markets. Samsung already managed to sell 3 million units of this device in just 37 days. Cashing in on the success of the Galaxy Note II, Samsung went a step ahead and announced the dual-SIM variant of this popular phablet.

The Dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy Note II will ship with the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. This device packs a micro-SIM slot as well as a full-size SIM slot. It comes with radios for GSM 850/900/1, 800/1,900, and WCDMA 850/900/1,900/2100 MHz. Dual-SIM Galaxy Note II will go on sale starting next month in China. There are no major changes in the specs of this device.

Dual-SIM Galaxy Note II comes with a price tag of 5699 Chinese Yuan (approx. $900). This device will go on sale from December 3 in China. Samsung has not yet announced the availability of this device for other major markets.

Samsung Announces The Galaxy S Duos Dual-SIM Smartphone

In the past, Samsung has already confused its customers by launching the Galaxy S and Galaxy Ace smartphones. Now, Samsung does it again! Dual-SIM LG Optimus L3 E405 Announced

Earlier this year, LG announced 3 new smartphones, the LG Optimus L3, LG Optimus L5 and LG Optimus L7 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona. These devices belongs to the LG’s L-Style series of smartphones. LG has already released the dual-SIM variant of the Optimus L5 smartphone. Now, the company went ahead and announced the LG Optimus L3 E405 smartphone. This handset is basically the dual-SIM variant of the LG Optimus L3.

The LG Optimus L3 E405 will be first available in Ukraine from the next month. The original Optimus L3 runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. However, this handset will ship with the old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. LG has not yet announced any update plans for this device, but the owners of Optimus L3 E405 should expect the Android 4.0 update in the coming months. Check out the specs after the break.

Sony Unveils The Xperia tipo and tipo-dual Running Ice Cream Sandwich

Along with the Sony Xperia miro, the Japanese company also announced its first dual-SIM capable Android phone, the Xperia tipo. The Xperia tipo is a budget Android phone and will come in single SIM and dual-SIM variants. The handset packs in a relatively small 3.2-inch display with HVGA (320*480) resolution, and will be powered by an 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM.

The dual-SIM version of the phone will also have a dedicated button on its side to switch between the two SIM cards. Other specs of the tipo include FM radio, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a bunch of sensors, 2.5GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a 3.2MP camera at its back that is also capable of recording videos in VGA resolution.

The 13mm thick body of the handset also packs in a beefy 1500mAh battery for up to 24 hours of battery life under heavy usage. Both the variants of the tipo will be running on Ice Cream Sandwich. Sony did not reveal any pricing information but the handsets are expected to hit the market sometime in Q3 of this year in black, white, red and blue colors.

HTC Unveils Two Low-End Ice Cream Sandwich Droids With Dual-SIM – Desire V and Desire VC

HTC has just announced two budget based Ice Cream Sandwich running handsets, the Desire V and Desire VC. The Desire V and Desire VC are identical to each other, except for the difference in their baseband. While the Desire V has SIM-card slots for two GSM based networks, the VC supports one primary CDMA network along with a secondary GSM based network.

Both the handsets pack a 4-inch screen with WVGa )480*800) resolution, a 1GHz Cortex-A5 based processor from Qualcomm, Adreno 200 GPU, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP snapper aided by an LED flash that is capable of recording videos in VGA resolution along with the connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio, 4GB internal memory, and a microSD card slot.

As stated earlier, the handsets run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense on top of it. The handsets wil also carry HTC’s Beats Audio logo and feature, which in practical usage is nothing but a marketing gimmick. The Desire V will launch in Asia sometime in July, while the Desire VC will launch only in China around the same time only.

Nokia recently announced the entry-level Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 phones. Both the devices comes with dual-SIM capabilities and Nokia’s unique Easy Swap technology. The Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 have been designed to appeal young, urban consumers who want to experience a fast, affordable online experience.

Nokia 110 measures 110 x 46 x 14.8mm and weighs 80g. On the other hand, Nokia 112 measures 110.4 x 46.9 x 15.4mm and weighs 85.5g. These handsets offer direct access to Twitter, Facebook and other social networks from the home page. Nokia 110 will be available for just EUR 35, while the Nokia 112 will be available for EUR 38. These devices will go on sale from the Q3 of 2012.

Last year, Nokia launched the Asha series of entry-level phones at the Nokia World 2011. The Nokia Asha phones are currently available in more than 100 markets globally. Today, the company unveiled the new Nokia Asha 202 and Nokia Asha 203 Touch and Type phones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona. The specs of both the handsets are almost similar. However, the only difference is the dual-SIM feature packed in the Nokia Asha 202. These handsets allows you to access your Facebook and Twitter networks from the preloaded social application.
