Beetel Magiq Glide Android Tablet Launched In India For Rs.11,999

Beetel, a part of the Bharti Group, recently launched its third tablet device, the Beetel Magiq Glide in India. This tablet is the successor of the Beetel Magiq II tablet. This device runs on the old Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System. Beetel Magiq Glide comes with Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n and 3G connectivity options.

After an extensive market research and keeping in mind the feedback received from our customers on our previous products we have come up with the Magiq Glide. The Beetel Magiq Glide tablet comes with a price-tag of Rs.11,999 (approx. $230). The original Beetel Magiq tablet was expected to get the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, but the company has not yet started rolling out the update even after 4 months of its official launch. If you are planning to buy this tablet, then don’t expect the Android 2.3 update, at least for the next few months. The Beetel Magiq Glide will compete with other entry-level Android tablets such as HCL ME Tablet X1, Reliance 3G Tab and iBall Slide in the Indian market.

Last week, Reliance Communications launched its entry-level tablet in India for just Rs.12,999. Now, Beetel, a part of the Bharti Group, has joined the bandwagon. Last month, we posted that Beetel, will soon launch its Android powered tablet in India. And, within a month, the company went ahead and launched the affordable Beetel Magiq tablet. This device runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System and it comes with a 7 inch touchscreen display, 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor, etc.

The Beetel Magiq tablet comes with a price-tag of Rs.9,999 (approx. $220). This tablet is Rs.3000 cheaper, compared to the Reliance tablet, but it runs on the old Android Froyo OS. The company also announced that, the Beetel Magiq will be soon upgraded to the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It also comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Since the Beetel and Airtel are the part of the Bharti Group, customers will get a free Airtel pre-paid or postpaid connection with the purchase of this tablet. Customers will also get 2 GB of 3G data for 2 months. This tablet will soon hit the Indian market. Stay tuned for more updates!
