HTC Desire P And Desire Q Specs And Pics Revealed

Last week, it was rumored that HTC will soon announce two new budget smartphones, the Desire P and Desire Q. Today, the official images as well as the specs of these devices were revealed. The mid-range Desire P and Desire Q runs on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. HTC Desire P looks similar to the previously launched Desire SV, while the design of Desire Q is almost similar to Desire X.

Google Nexus 7 Goes On Sale in India Via Play Store For Rs.15,999

Google Nexus 7 needs no introduction! It is Google’s first tablet device which was unveiled last year at the company’s I/O event in San Francisco. Nexus 7 is manufactured by Asus and it is officially sold by Google via Play Store in 9 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom and United States.

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Goes On Sale In India For Rs.22,900

Back in January, Samsung announced the Galaxy S II Plus smartphone. This handset packs almost same specs from the original Galaxy S II, except the fact that this device will be shipped with the newer Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System and Samsung’s latest Touchwiz Nature UX out-of-the-box. Verizon Motorola Droid 4 Gets The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update

Last year, Motorola launched the powerful Droid 4 smartphone exclusively for the Verizon Wireless subscribers in the US. Samsung Launches The Galaxy Express Smartphone In Europe

Samsung recently launched the Android powered Galaxy Express smartphone in Europe. It is basically the same device which was unveiled last year for the AT&T subscribers in the US. Samsung Galaxy Express comes with the S Beam feature which allows you to easily touch and transfer your favorite movie or the latest songs just by touching another device. Sony Xperia SP Unveiled — Dual-Core Krait, 8MP Camera, And 4.6-inch Reality Display

Along with the Xperia L, Sony also released an upper mid-range Xperia handset, the Xperia SP. The Xperia SP had leaked earlier as well, suggesting that its launch was imminent. The Xperia SP sports a 4.6-inch BRAVIA HD Reality Display with 720p resolution. It also features Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 that automatically boosts the contrasts, color reproduction level and saturation level while viewing photos and videos.

Internally, the Xperia SP is powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8960 (S4) processor that is clocked at 1.7GHz, and is coupled with an Adreno 225 GPU. Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE,  and the other usual bunch of features. The handset is made of co-moulded aluminium frame, and will come with a beefy 2370mAh battery.

At the back of the Xperia SP is an 8MP Exmor RS camera with an LED flash. Like the Xperia L, the SP will also be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, with Sony’s OEM skin on top of it. The device arrives in Q2 of this year in White, Red and Black.

Sony Xperia L Is A Budget Android Handset With Focus On Imaging

Sony, today, released a new budget-oriented Xperia handset – the Xperia L. The Xperia L packs in a bunch for a budget handset, and sports a 4.3-inch FWVGA display.

Internally, the handset packs in a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 (MSM8230), 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a 1700mAh battery. The usual bunch of connectivity features like Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and sensors are also present.

Sony has laid key emphasis on the Xperia L’s imaging department by including an 8MP Exmor R sensor at its back aided by an LED flash. It also packs in HDR stills and video – a first for budget Android handsets. The company has also included its signature Power Key as seen on the Xperia Z.

On the software side, Sony has blessed the Xperia L with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and its own OEM skin – that is pretty light and includes its beautiful Media suite of applications. The Xperia L will hit the markets sometime in Q2 of this year at an unknown price in three colors — White, Black and Red.

Motorola Unveils The RAZR D1 And D3 For Brazil

Motorola has announced two new budget-oriented RAZRs for Brazil – the RAZR D1 and the RAZR D3. The D1 is caters to the low-end with its 3.5-inch WVGA (800*480) display, 1GB of RAM, 1GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage and a 1785mAh battery.

The RAZR D2 sports a bigger 4-inch screen, and a beefier 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with a 2000mAh battery. The designs of both the handset are similar to Motorola’s RAZR M handset. The handsets will be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean when released. The Google effect is slowly but steadily making its presence felt in Motorola products, and the RAZR D1/D3 continues that trend with “a guaranteed update to the next Android version”.

Motorola is known to launch handsets specifically tailored for Brazil and the Argentina market, so the RAZR D1 and D3 should not come as a surprise. The D1 will be available in single SIM and dual-SIM variants for R$549 ($280), while the D3 will be available after in “several weeks” for about R$799 ($410).

Motorola Droid Razr And Razr Maxx Gets The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update

Last month, Motorola announced that the Verizon’s original Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx is scheduled to receive the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update by the end of this quarter. However, the manufacturer has started rolling out much sooner than expected. These handsets were originally shipped with the old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, which was later updated to the Android 4.0 in mid-2012.

Motorola is currently rolling out this update in batches. It might take some days for the update to reach your smartphone.
