Verizon Motorola Xoom LTE Finally Gets The Android 4.1.2 Update

Back in 2011, Verizon launched the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE tablet. This device was shipped with the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System. Later, it was updated to Android 3.2 OS. Last year, the unlocked Motorola Xoom 4G owners received the much awaited Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Nearly 10 months after the roll out of original update, Verizon went ahead and started pushing out the Android 4.1.2 update for Verizon subscribers who are still using the Motorola Xoom 4G tablet.

The latest update is numbered JZO54M and it brings all the Jelly Bean goodies such as Google Now, Project Butter, smart keyboard, improved voice search, enhanced notifications, offline text-to-speech, improved power management, advanced expandable notifications, improved Face Unlock and much more. HTC Desire 600 Launched In India For Rs.26,990

Back in May, HTC announced the mid-range Desire 600 smartphone. This device packs a 4.5 inch qHD display along with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Today, HTC officially launched this smartphone in India. The HTC Desire 600 is being shipped with the old Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. HTC recently announced a new mid-range quad-core smartphone, the Desire 600. This handset packs a 4.5 inch qHD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8 megapixel camera and more. The HTC Desire 600 is a dual-SIM smartphone and it runs on the old Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Sony Xperia UL Announced In Japan

Sony has announced yet another Android smartphone, the Xperia UL. The design of this handset is somewhat similar to the company’s flagship Xperia Z smartphone. This device will be exclusively available for the KDDI and NTT Docomo subscribers in Japan. As expected, Sony will ship the Xperia UL smartphone with the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. Today, Samsung launched the Android powered Galaxy Grand Quattro in India. This handset is nothing but the Indian variant of the Samsung Galaxy Win smartphone. ZTE Grand X2 In Announced; Comes With 2 GHz Clover Trail+ Atom Processor

Earlier this week, ZTE unveiled the Intel powered Grand X2 In smartphone at the MedPi conference in Monaco. As the name suggest, this handset is the successor of the popular ZTE Grand X In smartphone. This device packs a 4.5 inch HD display along with Intel’s 2 Ghz dual-core Clover Trail+ Atom processor. Sony Announces The Waterproof Xperia ZR Smartphone

Sony recently announced the new waterproof Xperia ZR smartphone. This handset features the highest level of water-resistance for capturing photos and full HD videos underwater. LG Begins Optimus F5 Global Rollout, Starting From Europe

Back in February, LG unveiled the mid-range Optimus F5 smartphone. This device was showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 in Barcelona. LG Optimus F5 is the first smartphone from LG’s newest Optimus F Series. According to the manufacturer, the Optimus F Series is designed to bring a premium user experience and the speed of 4G LTE to a mass audience. Today, LG has finally started shipping the Optimus F5 budget smartphone in Europe.

Sprint Photon Q Gets The Android 4.1 Update

Last year Motorola launched the Photon Q smartphone exclusively for the Sprint subscribers in the US. It was the first 4G LTE device to feature a touchscreen display along with a five-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Motorola Photon Q was originally shipped with the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System.

Back in December, Motorola promised to roll out the Android 4.1 update for the Photon Q and 5 other smartphones. After waiting for nearly 5 months, the manufacturer has finally rolled out the much-awaited Jelly Bean update. Samsung Galaxy Note 510 (Note 8.0) Up For Pre-Order In India For Rs.30,900

Asus Fonepad Launched In India For Rs.15,999

Asus recently launched the Fonepad tablet in India. It comes with 3G Connectivity and voice calling features of a smartphone on a 7 inch tablet. Asus Fonepad packs a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor and it runs on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. According to the manufacturer, this device offers up to nine hours of battery life. Huawei A199 Announced In China; Comes With 5 Inch HD Display, Android 4.1 OS

Huawei recently announced the mid-range Huawei A199 smartphone in its home country. This handset was previously leaked by @evleaks as the Huawei Ascend G710. However, the manufacturer decided to launch this device with a brand new name in China. The Huawei A199 packs a 5 inch HD display and a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor.

This handset runs on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. Huawei A199 also comes with dual-mode dual-SIM support, which works perfectly on a CDMA network as well as on a GSM network at the same time. Check out the complete specs below.

Huawei Ascend A199 features a 5 inch HD touch screen display, sporting a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, 1.5 GHz Huawei K3V2 quad-core processor, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS, Huawei Emotion UI, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and so on.

It also comes with the usual 3.5 mm headset jack, Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, Bluetooth, DLNA, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, Micro SD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0, Google Play Store and a 2150 mAh battery.

The China Telecom logo is placed right below the camera. It clearly indicates that the Huawei A199 will be available for China Telecom subscribers at launch.
