Sprint Motorola XPRT Gets The Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update

Do you still remember the Motorola XPRT smartphone? Yes, we are talking about the same BlackBerry-like device which was exclusively available for the Sprint subscribers in the US. Motorola XPRT was the first Android smartphone from Sprint which delivered enterprise-class security, personal productivity enhancements and international roaming. Most of you might remember that Motorola XPRT was originally shipped with the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating System. After waiting for a year, Sprint has finally started rolling out the Android 2.3 update for the forgotten Motorola XPRT smartphone.

The latest update is numbered 4.5.1-110-kns-46 and it brings the usual Gingerbread goodies, along with the new user interface icons, UI performance improvements, battery fixes, Email UI fixes, contact UI fixes, updated calendar options and much more. MTS recently launched 3 new entry-level CDMA smartphones in India, the MTag 351, MTag 352 And MTag 281. These devices run on the old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System and come bundled with unlimited data plans. The pre-loaded MTS TV application allows you to access Live TV with more than 100 channels. You can also access more than 450,000 apps and games from the Google Play Store.

US Cellular Announces The Motorola Electrify 2 And Defy XT

Motorola recently announced two new Android powered smartphones, the Motorola Electrify 2 and Motorola Defy XT. These devices will be exclusively available for the subscribers of US Cellular. The Motorola Electrify 2 is second device in the popular Motorola Electrify family of smartphones. This handset runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. Earlier this month, Zync launched the entry-level Zync Z-999 tablet in India for just Rs.11,990.
