If you have a digital camera or have ripped a CD, you may know the pain of renaming all the files to something that is easily recognizable, having a file renaming software definitely helps when you have a large number of files to be renamed.

Fast File Renamer is a handy freeware that will help you ease the tedious task of renaming multiple files. The program can be used by anyone who needs to keep large collections of files organized (such as mp3 files, image and graphics files, web-site-related files, system files).

Fast File Renamer also has a ‘simulate’ function where you can preview the effects of any changes before applying them and it supports the use of the ‘*’ wildcard character (inside the pattern which is to be deleted or replaced).

    This is one of the very best of all the utility softwares I have ever seen. I have downloaded it and I am sure I ll get rid of one of the most tedious and boring things…

    This sounds like something I desperately need. My mp3 player doesn’t organize the tracks well due to the different methods used to name the files. Hopefully this will do the trick. Thanks!
