This article is full of apps that you may use when you go back to school. They are handy little tools to have, and make your life a little bit easier both in and out of school. Their accessibility on your phone means that you can use them on the bus, train or waiting for a dentist appointment. In that respect–they are very good at helping you to use time that may have otherwise been wasted.
Flash Cards
This is a great app for creating memory cards for your studies. You create your own memory cards on your phone. When you want a quick refresher you can flash up the cards wherever you are.
Evernote
You can get this app on any Smartphone and on any operating system. You can make and store notes. You can do the same for photos, records and lists too. It is handy for making notes and keeping them safe.
SkyDrive
You can use this to store your educational content online. It can then be accessed by a PC if you need it later. It is also safe for just in case you lose your phone, because you will not lose your files. It does not have to be documents either. You can also store e-books, photos, slideshows, tutorials and videos.
Adobe Reader
If you use windows on your computer then you will already know about Adobe. It allows you to open a multitude of different types of document types.
Amazon Kindle (the app)
This is free from Amazon Services. It means that you can buy kindle books on Amazon and download them to your Windows 7 phone, even if it is not a Kindle tablet. Kindle books tend to be cheaper than hardcopy versions, so this app may save the new student a little bit of money.
OverDrive Media
This comes from OverDrive at no cost. It allows you to have access to a large library of books that you can rent for a while before the program is closed down on your phone. They have a library full of e-books and audio books that you can rent for a while.
Todoist and Todoist Lite
The lite version is free and allows you to organize your life and your assignments. It is handy for people who have trouble planning their day and who forget deadlines.
Tutorle
This is a free Windows Phone application that can help you memorize a different amount of information and learn new foreign languages, SAT words, historic dates, and more. You can do it quickly and easy. Using this program you can quiz yourself, run the training mode or create your own dictionary.
Tasks
This simply named app was created by Telerik. It is just the same as the Todoist Lite app. Its existence means that you can try both and see which one suits you best.
My Flip Cards

This is very similar to the Flashcards version that was mentioned above. Yet again you are allowed to create a bunch of flash cards that are specifically suited for your learning needs.
OneNote
Search this out on your phone–as it should already be installed. It is a little like the Evernote app mentioned above except that you can save things onto the skydrive and save it on the Internet instead.
