Techie Buzz Verdict

This tool promises to do a lot of things that can help you browse the internet the way you wish. This tool is ad supported, but the ads are a small price to pay for what you are getting in return. The cross platform compatibility makes it more acceptable. So whoever you are, someone who is getting blocked or someone who wants someone else to get blocked this tool is a perfect choice. I have tested this tool and it works perfectly for any one of the above tasks.

  1. I just read that article and tried the software. Unfortunately it didn't work in any of the 5 test PCs/Laptops.

I am behind a University Firewall (Fortinet Fortiguard). The should work like other proxy software like JonDo or Freegate. It changed the Proxy settings in IE to 127.0.0.1:3998. Still it was unable to connect. The app showed 0 upload and download. Guess JonDo or Freegate are still the best one out there.

    1. Sad that it didn't work for you. I tried it on my laptop and it worked okay for me. And you are right, I like Freegate more than this one. Though I have never tried out JohnDo. Thanks for telling about it.

  2. I use Hotspot Shield Free VPN instead of unreliable these proxy sites. It allows you to bypass location based IP restrictions and go beyond any filters and firewalls set by your school or office. You can easily access any website blocked in your country anonymously using a US IP address. ( http://www.hotspotshield.com/free-proxy )
