Techie Buzz Verdict

This tool promises to do a lot of things that can help you browse the internet the way you wish. This tool is ad supported, but the ads are a small price to pay for what you are getting in return. The cross platform compatibility makes it more acceptable. So whoever you are, someone who is getting blocked or someone who wants someone else to get blocked this tool is a perfect choice. I have tested this tool and it works perfectly for any one of the above tasks.

Techie Buzz Rating : 3.5/5 (Very Good)

I just read that article and tried the software. Unfortunately it didn't work in any of the 5 test PCs/Laptops.

I am behind a University Firewall (Fortinet Fortiguard). The should work like other proxy software like JonDo or Freegate. It changed the Proxy settings in IE to 127.0.0.1:3998. Still it was unable to connect. The app showed 0 upload and download. Guess JonDo or Freegate are still the best one out there.

Sad that it didn't work for you. I tried it on my laptop and it worked okay for me. And you are right, I like Freegate more than this one. Though I have never tried out JohnDo. Thanks for telling about it.

I lived in KSA for 2 years, many sites are blocked there. Bypassing their filters is really easy, just use a VPN service or a proxy. I used http://www.highspeedvpn.com/ with great success.
