5 Most Expensive Android Apps
By on September 18th, 2012

There is an abundance of developers who launch open source software for free to help the community. However, there are certain times when we see software or applications with mind boggling prices. This article covers the 5 most expensive Android apps out there, so be ready to shell out a pretty penny!

Vuvuzela World Cup Horn Plus:

Vuvuzela World Cup Horn Plus is currently the most expensive app on Google Play, with a price tag of $200. You must be thinking “what special things can this app do?” Frankly speaking, it has no special or unique feature, but football (socker) fans might find this useful. It is a small app, sized about 0.5MB, and when you shake your phone, the FIFA 2010 World Cup horn starts sounding and will stop when you shake your phone again.

Vuvuzela World Cup Horn Plus has only 50-100 installs from the Google Play store.

Med School Loan Viewing App 1k:

This app was developed by a medical student in the USA, to warn and inform people of the debts that they will face by entering into a medical college.  This is a pretty simple app and is based upon facts. I am calling it simple because there are no fancy menus or color combinations used. Unfortunately, no one has downloaded this app from Google Play Store. The main reason behind that seems to be the price tag of $200. Another reason might be that this app does not seem to be interesting.

Most Expensive App International:

If you are a millionaire and looking for most expensive app on Android, then you are in the right place. This app does nothing except making your home screen look good and, it also makes you one of the very few people who have ever bought this app. So far, only 1 to 5 installs of this app are showing in the Google Play Store records. You can join the millionaires club by wasting $200 on this app.

The Most Expensive Play App:

The first line in the description of this app on Google Play Store is “Don’t expect this app to do anything.” This app is especially for people who can easily waste $200, because this app also does nothing. It will just let you set widgets with an image showing two gold dies. This app has just 1-5 installs as shown by Google Play records. If you are rich and want to buy it, you will need to spend $179.86 on this useless app.

Emergency Central:

We all know that a medical emergency has no specific time. It can come anywhere and any time, so we should all be ready to tackle it properly and professionally. “Emergency Central” holds information on diseases, symptoms, drugs, test reports and more, which are very useful to diagnose and identify the problem in an emergency. This is the only app in “most expensive app list” which is actually beneficial and it is not quite as expensive as some of the above mentioned apps. You can get it at price of $159.95 Dollars.

In conclusion, we can clearly see that most of these apps just advertise the fact that the buyer is rich, instead of doing anything useful. However, if you are rich and want to let others know about it, this is certainly one way to do just that.
