Warning: Hey I Just Made A Photoshop of You Facebook Virus Spreading
Looks like another one of those Facebook Scam is currently under way. Users are posting messages saying that "hey, i just made a photoshop of you, check it out :P [link redacted]".

The above Facebook scam is more like a virus because it installs an app in your Facebook profile and then redirects you to a page where you have to fill out a survey which will make money for the scammer.
Right now the scam is spreading very quickly across Facebook, so stay away from clicking on the link. As always follow our guide on Avoiding Facebook Lifejacking and Clickjacking scams.
This message is also spreading rapidly through Facebook Chat so don’t click on such messages even when you receive them through your friends in Facebook chat.
If you have clicked on the link, you will have to remove an application from your profile called soothio.co.cc or ratenry.info from your Profile to stop it from further affecting you and your friends. Learn more about removing apps from Facebook.

Someone just sent me this link. I told them it was most likely spyware or a virus. No answer..
I don’t understand why Facebook can not keep on top of this garbage and kill it quickly.
Neither of the above mentioned were in my profile when I got it … any others ?
@DJ – Please check for other suspecting apps and remove anything you don’t know or don’t use
I got hit by it today. Thing is, I just got back from a comic book convention, where I cosplay a few characters, so it’s not uncommon for people to Photoshop pics of me. I suspected it at first, but then I looked at the profile of the person who sent me the message, and it says he is a graphic artist. So I thought it was someone who saw some of my pics and was just being nice. That was my vanity getting the best of me. Any other time, I would have ignored it. It was just a matter of wrong place at the wrong time. I did go in and wipe it out, and I apparently got it before it sent spam to ALL of my FB friends. Hit maybe a tenth of them. I did NOT, however, click on the survey. As soon as I saw “Sexy Photoshop pics” I knew I had been had, and clicked out of it.
In my case it was someone I have never communicated with, and only known to me through a game application. He attempted to send me the link by way of the message system in Facebook. I left him a message that it was probably spyware or a virus. He did not respond.
Ive deleted all the apps on my profile as instructed and its still sending messages to people! please help! :L
FOLLOWED UR INSTURCTIONS AND ITS STILL HAPPENING??? SOME1 SAVE ME LOL
I clicked the link accidentally, but I clicked out of it right away. I didn’t do any survey or give them any info. Will I get the virus? I have virus protection.
@Michelle – This usually does not download a virus to your PC, however, please check your Facebook apps for any suspicious apps and remove them.
