I finally managed to put aside some time and give a much needed update to Better Comments Manager. I am releasing the version 1.3 of Better Comments Manager today. It feels great to know that the plugin has been downloaded times in over a month. I am also happy to announce that this plugin is now official a part of the wordpress extend where you can download all the plugins recommended by Wordpress.

I recently released a new Wordpress theme for my blog and tested it out in various browsers. Thanks to all my commentators who pointed out issues and even suggested changes for making the theme better. The one issue that no one pointed out to me was the transparency issue with my logo image in IE6. The logo image was looking a little weird in IE6 browsers. I could not figure out as to why it was happening but a quick Google search and I came across what the problem was and how to resolve it.

I was reading a nice little post on Lifehack.org about creating strong passwords but decided to share a little trick to create passwords that you can easily remember and are also strong. The key is to substitute alphabets with either numbers or symbols while you mix cases.

The web world is all about keywords and many people have to write and research on particular topics for which data needs to be gathered from the web. Many bloggers have niche blogs that they run based on various keywords. For example John Chow has a targeted keyword Make money online. For all this you need to research on those keywords so that you have the relevant information before you can write your post or thesis or complete your project. If you tend to focus on few keywords and waste a lot of time researching on those keywords then here is a simple way in which you can save a lot of time for yourself.

Many sites use AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) to display the content to users. It has become difficult for both developers and designers to view the html source using the regular view source method when sites display content using AJAX. The reason is because the content is not actually on the page and is being dynamically added to the page. If you are a developer then you should definitely have the Firebug extension installed it is a awesome tool that helps in developing and deploying web sites you can also debug AJAX requests and responses using Firebug. Firebug allows you to edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML and Javascript live for any web page.

I have not posting for the last two days. The reason is because I was making Techie Buzz go green. I am proud to release my first Wordpress theme for my site. This theme is currently not available for public downloads but I will make it available very shortly, there is still some work to be done before I can release the theme publicly. Do let me know your thoughts about the new theme. Also let me know if you are seeing any problems in different browsers. I have tested it with Firefox2, Flock, IE6 and IE7 on Windows XP. Opera users please let me know if there are any problems with the theme.

I had recently written a post on how to get your favorite folders in the places bar. But as unhappy I am with the limitations in software I always try to create ways with which things can be accessed easily without having to do much.
