However while trying to review the product, I came across a virus alert that may be a potential threat to your system, the Windows 7 Transformation Pack for Windows XP contains a virus. The threat may be a false alarm, but its safer to not use the software till the author fixes the problem with it.

Please beware of the available links for downloading the said software, in-fact do not download it at all, till all the concerns are addressed, hopefully other blog publishers would be more responsible and check the downloads they are offering.

This is why I didn’t review the software too. I neglected to write a warning post. Thank you for warning us Keith.

Yes, it may be a false positive, but it’s best to stay away from potentially harmful programs.

Isn’t it amazing how seemingly innocent offers could be housing a deadly virus? Good thing that bloggers like you go to the trouble to share these experiences and possible pitfalls with us, as spreading the word is the best way to inform potential victims. Let’s hope they frequent the right blogs, and/or do a bit of research before just blinding downloading and installing things.
