XOLO launches Q2100 with Fingerprint Sensor for ₹13,499

XOLO today announced the launch of Q2100 with fingerprint sensor, taking smartphone access and security to the next level. The XOLO Q2100 is available for ₹13,499.

The company claims that the device offers significant advantage over regular pattern locks as only the owner can access the device and one obviously cannot ‘forget’ the fingerprint. The built-in fingerprint sensor in XOLO Q2100 is located on the top back of the device and allows users to unlock the screen and quickly access the device at the swipe of the finger. Maximum 3 fingers can be enrolled and successfully decoded as a part of this authentication process.

Interestingly, the fingerprint sensor in Q2100 is also integrated with LastPass, the popular password manager app. Users will now be able to access LastPass app with a swipe of their finger, access the app with the fingerprint sensor and reach all your accounts securely.

Clearly in the phablet segment, the dual SIM device offers a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3. Powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and 1GB RAM, the device packs in 8GB internal memory. There’s an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.

XOLO Q2100 features Smart Touch Gesture that lets users get to specific apps by using pre-assigned gestures, even when the phone is in sleep mode. Q2100 also allows access to multiple apps via Float Task on a dual window operation mode, enabling easy multitasking. In addition to this, the Q2100 comes pre-loaded with Peel Smart Remote app equipped with IR Blaster. Besides being a remote control for the TV and set top box, the app can also control functionality of DVR, DVD player, air conditioner, and other home entertainment devices and appliances.
