Developers at MMMOOO (who were responsible for iXP – XP for S60V5) have built a flash based Windows 7 [1] gimmick UI called Win 7 for Symbian V5. Though it’s prowess is much limited when compared to the actual windows 7 [1], it does provide us with a nice and familiar interface.

With fully functioning widgets to changeable wallpapers, Win 7 emulates it all. Some of it’s important features are:

  • Direct access to target apps via Start menu.
  • Even if another application is run from Win7, it remains active.
  • 6 different wallpapers
  • Analogue clock and calendar
  • Landscape mode on supported phones.
  • Navigation can be done in two ways – using D-Pad (if present) or by touchscreen
  • Excellent transparency and transition effects
  • Works very fast.

Though most of the phones support both landscape and portrait mode, some phones (like Nokia 5800-XM) may have some problem with the portrait mode.
You can buy this amazing software for 4.99$ here [2].
