White Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch Coming To Sprint On January 8

Back in August, Samsung finally launched the much-awaited Galaxy S II in the US. This handset is available in 3 variants exclusively for the AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint customers. The Sprint version of Galaxy S II is called as the Samsung Epic 4G Touch. This handset runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System and it comes with a large 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, etc.

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch was originally available only in Vortex Black color. Now, Sprint has announced another variant of this handset. The Samsung Epic 4G Touch will be available in the new Frost White color, exclusively for the Sprint customers, starting from January 8, 2012. The specs of both the devices are almost same.

Sprint Epic 4G Touch features a 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, sporting a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1.2 GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, TouchWiz 4.0 user interface, Swype, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G Connectivity, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and flash, full HD (1080p) video recording and playback, 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, etc.

It also comes with a 3.5 mm headset jack, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, Samsung Kies Air, Android Market, full HTML web browser, DLNA, HDMI out, 16 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Sprint ID, 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capable, Samsung Media Hub, Samsung Social Hub, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 1800 mAh Lithium-ion battery.

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch will be available for $199.99 with a new two-year service agreement. Sprint customers can get this device from Sunday, January 8, 2012.
