Nexus 4 On Sale For $49

T-Mobile has just started selling the LG Nexus 4 for $49 via its online store. You’ll have to pay $100 for the device upfront and send in a $49 mail-in rebate. This deal is only going on for a limited time and requires that you sign a two-year contract when purchasing the device. The device normally sells for $349 off-contract via Google Play and can be used with any GSM network as the device is SIM unlocked. T-Mobile is currently selling the 16GB model and has not announced plans to carry the lower-end 8GB model.

If you’re unaware, the Nexus 4 is the most recent Nexus device which was released alongside the Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 with cellular data. The device features a quick quad-core CPU, a 4.7″ display and 2GB of RAM. The device is manufactured by LG but has strong Google influence. This means that it will be updated to the latest version of Android for the next couple of years. Because of this, the device is pure Google and doesn’t have a skinned UI. The Nexus 4 only supports LTE bands in Canada and can connect to T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network in the United States.

Update: The sale ends on February 18th.
