Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G And Hero Get An OTA Update

Sprint in collaboration with HTC has rolled out OTA (Over-The-Air) updates for two of its handsets the EVO 4G and the Hero. No, the Hero OTA update is not a Froyo update. Its just a minor update which fixes some important bugs including the sluggish Dialer issue and the GPS reboot issue. The EVO 4G update fixes quite a few important bugs as well including the GPS reboot issue. This update also removes the 30FPS cap that has been plaguing all EVO 4G owners from the start.

Along with this, the multiple GMail account sync and Calendar Event edit bugs have been fixed in this update as well. A rooted and de-oxed version of this OTA update is already available for download at XDA-Developers forum. Sprint is also working on releasing a software update for the Samsung Epic 4G which will remove the 150kbps upload speed cap of the device.
