Sprint and LG Electronics recently announced a mid-budget smartphone, the LG Optimus S. It is the first Android powered device to offer the ultimate personalized experience with Sprint ID, a new user-friendly way of personalizing Android devices. This handset is powered by Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo Operating System. LG Optimus S will be available exclusively on the airwaves of Sprint.

LG Optimus S comes with a sleek and slim design, 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display, virtual QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.2 operating system, 3.2 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, microSD card slot, 32GB expandable memory, mobile hotspot capability supporting up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices to share the 3G experience simultaneously, Android Market, Visual Voicemail and more.
LG Optimus S will be available from Sunday, Oct 31. It comes with a price tag of $49.99 with a new two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. You can even pay an optional charge of just $29.99 per month to turn on the LG Optimus S’s mobile hotspot feature, which allows you to connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. You can get this handset at all Sprint retail stores or you can even purchase it online.
