HTC EVO 4G is the first 4G smartphone and one of the most popular Android device. This handset was launched in the US, during the Q2 of 2010. HTC EVO 4G is exclusively available for the Sprint customers in the US. This handset originally runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS, but it was later updated to the new Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. The latest update changes the firmware version of this handset to v4.53.651.1. This update is available only via Over-The-Air (OTA). It is advised to backup all of your data before updating the device. It might take some days for the update to reach your smartphone.
