Sony has just announced its latest additions to the Xperia line-up of handsets here at IFA in Berlin, the Xperia T, along with the Xperia V and Xperia J.
The Xperia T is Sony’s new flagship handset and comes with a 4.6-inch 720p HD display and uses the company’s Mobile BRAVIA engine to deliver stunning image quality. At the back of the Xperia T packs is a mammoth 13MP camera aided by an LED flash, with zero-shutter lag and sleep to snap feature. The handset will also come with a dedicated camera shutter button so as to please all the camera fanatics out there. Sony has also made intelligent use of NFC to provide one-touch connectivity among its devices.
While Sony did not announce the internal specifications of the Xperia T, the handset is presumably powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core S4 Krait processor, and packs an Adreno 225 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and a microSD card slot. The handset will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out-of-the-box, and the UI will especially lay emphasis on Sony’s pre-installed media applications. The handset will comes with Sony’s Music Unlimited service which Xperia owners can enjoy for free for up to 60 days.
The Xperia T will be available before the end of this year in most regions of the world. Oh! The Xperia T is also the official 007 phone and has been stylishly used in the upcoming James Bond movie, Skyfall.
