Sony Xperia S Gets Access To PlayStation Store
By on March 14th, 2012

Sony’s latest and greatest handset for 2012, the Xperia S, is now the first phone from Sony, and the second phone ever to gain access to the PlayStation Store. For the unknown, the Playstation store provides Sony Xperia owners with access to some classic PlayStation games all specifically optimized for their phone. Until now, the Xperia Play was the only phone with access to the PlayStation store.

To gain access to the PS Store, Xperia S users need to click on the “Let’s Start PS Store” placeholder app on their phone, which will then download the PS Store APK file. Make sure you have enabled the option to install apps from ‘Unknown Sources’ from under Settings-> Applications before installing the downloaded APK file. Once installed, Xperia S owners can enjoy 100+ PS titles on their handsets. The games are a bit costly at £3.99 though.

The rest of the Xperia NXT series of handsets, including the AT&T Xperia ION, Xperia P and U  will also get access to the PlayStation Store in the coming weeks or maybe months.
