Sony Xperia Mint Leaked Pics And Specs Emerge

Sony recently started sending out the invitations to a pre-IFA event that will be held on August 29th in Berlin. Earlier, it was rumored that the manufacturer will unveil the Xperia Mint, Xperia J, Xperia SL and Xperia Hayabusa at this event. Now, these rumors are eventually turning out to be true.

The guys at Mobile Review recently got their hands on the Sony’s upcoming smartphone named as the Xperia Mint. This handset was previously known as the Sony LT30p Mint. Almost all of the company’s smartphones launched in this year runs on the old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. However, the Xperia Mint will be shipped with the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS out of the box.

Sony Xperia Mint features a 4.3 inch HD display, sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 expandable memory and much more. It also comes with the usual 3.5 mm headset jack, GPS with A-GPS, Stereo Bluetooth 4.0 with EDR, MicroUSB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity and NFC (Near Field Communication).

Sony Xperia Mint allows you to record and play videos in full HD (1080p), thanks to the amazing 13 megapixel camera. It also comes with a HD front-facing camera for video chats on the go. This handset is lighter and thinner than the Xperia S smartphone. The owners of this device should expect the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update soon after the launch.

This handset will be announced next month at the IFA 2012 in Berlin. According to the rumors, Xperia Mint will go on sale from September with a price-tag of around $700. Check out some hands-on pics of this device after the break.
