Sony Ericsson recently announced the Android powered Xperia Ray at CommunicAsia 2011 in Singapore. This handset runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System and it comes with a 3.3 inch touchscreen display, 1Ghz processor, 8.1 megapixel camera, 32 GB expandable memory and so on. Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray features a 3.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System, 1Ghz processor, Wi-Fi Connectivity, 8.1 megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom and Auto focus, Front-facing camera for video calls, HD (720p) video recording, Stereo Bluetooth with A2DP, PlayNow service, Sony Ericsson Music Player, TrackID music recognition, xLOUD and much more.
Other features include a 3.5 mm audio jack, aGPS, DLNA Certified, Micro USB support, Wi-Fi Hotspot functionality, 300 MB internal memory, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 3 GB microSD card included, 3D games, Motion gaming, FM radio with RDS, up to 7 hrs talk time, up to 440 hrs standby time, up to 36 hrs music playback, up to 6 hrs 45 min video playback and a 1500 mAh battery.
This handset measures 111 x 53 x 9.4mm and weighs just 100 grams. Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray will be available in 4 colors – Black, Gold, White and Pink. This handset will be available globally from Q3 2011. The price of this handset is still unknown.
