The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which has been one of the most highly anticipated Android smartphones, is set to launch at the Mobile World Congress in February. It will combine the gaming experience of the Sony PSP Go with the power of the Android OS.

We’ve already had quite a few leaks related to the Xperia Play, and we now have the complete list of hardware specs as well as some benchmark performance numbers of the Xperia Play. We have also seen it in images, and now thanks to BGR, we also have two videos of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play in action. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, the Playstation phone, comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a custom UI shell by Sony Ericsson and will be powered by a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM. It has an Adreno 205 GPU and comes with a 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It has a sliding joystick instead of a keyboard which resembles the PSP Go and has performed quite well on the Quadrant and Neocore benchmarks. It will have an exclusive library of PSP games and will also support the Android Market apps and games.
