Samsung Wave 3 Launched In Global Markets

Samsung Wave 3 is the successor of the highly popular Samsung Wave 2 smartphone. This handset was announced in August, along with the Wave M and Wave Y smartphones. Samsung Wave 3 runs on the latest Bada 2.0 Operating System. Samsung recently announced that, the company has started shipping the much awaited Wave 3 smartphone in the global markets.

The Wave 3 is a smartphone to benefit from the power of the bada 2.0, as well as a newly expanded suite of Samsung applications and services. We will continue to enhance our bada platform and its eco system for Wave smartphone line-up by developing more innovative features, application and content services,said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business.

Samsung Wave 3 features a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, sporting a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels, Bada 2.0 Operating System, 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255TT processor, Touchwiz UX, Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, HD (720p) video recording and playback, VGA front-facing camera for video calls and much more.

Other features include GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Audio and Video player, 3 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 512 MB RAM, Wi-Fi Direct, 3.5mm headphone jack, Samsung App Store, up to 535 hrs stand-by time, up to 14 hrs talk-time and a 1500 mAh battery.

Samsung Wave 3 allows you to download tens of thousands of localized applications from Samsung’s dedicated application store. Samsung Wave 3 will be initially launched in France, followed by Germany, Italy, Russia and other global markets by the end of this year. The price of this handset has not been announced yet.
