If you thought the various variants of the Galaxy S II were not enough, Samsung has gone ahead and announced a limited ‘Crystal’ edition of the Galaxy S II. The handset packs in the same specs as the regular Galaxy S II — a 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos 4210 processor, 1GB of RAM, an ARM Mali-400MP GPU, 16GB of internal memory, a beautiful 4.27-inch Super-AMOLED Plus display with WVGA (800×480) resolution, an 8MP camera in the back and a 1.9MP snapper in the front. The handset will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out-of-the-box, and will be powered by a 1650mAh battery.
The only difference between the Crystal edition Galaxy S II and the normal Galaxy S II is that the former comes in a white color with a leather back that has crystals on it. Samsung is aiming to tempt the ladies with this limited edition Galaxy S II. How successful they will be is something that remains to be seen, though.
Samsung expects to sell the Galaxy S II Crystal edition for Euros 599 in Germany, sometime later this year.
