Verizon might be planning to launch the new Samsung Stratosphere — its first 4G LTE smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. The folks at Pocketnow have managed to get their hands on some details and images of the Samsung Stratosphere.
The phone seems to be inspired by the Sprint Epic 4G, and will run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. It is rumored to have a 5 MP camera and a 1.3 MP secondary camera. It will come with about 2 GB of free storage, and should be powered by a 800 MHz – 1 GHz processor. It will likely have 512 MB RAM.
Apparently, the Samsung Stratosphere will be launching this week, along with the Droid Bionic. The pricing is most definitely not going to be stratospheric. Rumors suggest that it will be priced at around $150 on contract.
Not many other details are out yet, but we will keep you updated. For now, check out this image of the Samsung Stratosphere.
