Samsung Sells 500,000 Galaxy S Units in Korea

Samsung Galaxy S is one the most powerful smartphone currently available in the market. This phone has already been a huge hit in its home land. Earlier this month we have posted that Samsung has sold 200,000 units of Galaxy S in South Korea and now finally after a month, Samsung has managed to sell as many as 500,000 units in Korea. This is definitely an achievement for Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S is currently the most popular handset in Korea. Samsung sold 100,000 units in 6 days, 200,000 units in 10 days, 300,000 units in 19 days and finally after 33 days they have sold 500,000 units. The company is expected to sell more than 1 million units of Galaxy S within 60 days of its launch in Korea.

Apple sold 800,000 units of iPhone 3GS within 8 months of its launch in Korea. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S sales are expected to cross 800,000 units early next month. Galaxy S will also get the Android 2.2 update in the near future. So stay tuned!
