Samsung has been on a roll lately. First, the company announced that it has managed to ship more than 5 million units of the Galaxy Note II within 5 weeks of its launch.
Yesterday, Samsung Poland announced via their Twitter account that the Korean company has managed to ship more than 30 million units of the Galaxy S III since it was originally launched.
It was only less than two months ago that Samsung announced that it had sold 20 million units of the Galaxy S3. Considering that the iPhone 5 was launched in the last two months, shipping 10 million units in the same time span is not an easy task.
Keep in mind that Samsung has not confirmed whether it has actually managed to sell or ship 30 million units of Galaxy S3s. If its the latter, the overall sales figure of the handset will be just a bit shy of the 30 million mark.
With the holiday season coming up, Samsung might just be able to sell more than 40 million units of the Galaxy S3 in less than a year of its launch. The handset is all set to overtake the sales figure of the Galaxy S2 and become the highest selling smartphone to be released by Samsung, ever.
