Samsung recently announced the new Samsung Illusion entry-level smartphone. This handset runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. Samsung Illusion will be exclusively available for the Verizon Wireless customers in the US. The rear casing and battery cover of this handset are made from 70 percent post-consumer material and 35 percent of the front casing is made from post-consumer material.
Samsung Illusion features a 3.5 inch HVGA TFT display, sporting a resolution of 480 Ã— 320 pixels, 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System, TouchWiz UI, 3G Connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3 megapixel rear camera, HTML web browser, 3.5 mm headset jack, music player, 2 GB ROM, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Mobile Hotspot, Swype, Android Market, Corporate email support for Microsoft Office Exchange and much more.
Samsung Illusion allows you to access more than 300,000 apps from the Android Market. This handset will be available for purchase online from November 23, followed by Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in January 2012. Samsung Illusion comes with a price tag of $79.99 on contract. You will also need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan starting at $39.99/month. This device will be available for free from November 24-28.
