Samsung Galaxy W Value Pack Update Rolling Out Now
By on March 31st, 2012

Hot on the heels of the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S II, and the value pack update for the Galaxy S, Sammy has started rolling out the value pack update for the Galaxy W as well. The new Value pack update for the Galaxy W does not bring Ice Cream Sandwich to the handset, but does bring many of the features introduced by Google in ICS.

Like the value pack update for the Galaxy S, the update for the Galaxy W brings Face Unlock with blink detection, the ability to click pictures while shooting a video, ending a call by using the power key, the ability to increase the font size in Contacts, Calendar and a few other apps. The update also improves the overall performance and stability of the phone.

The update is already live in Europe and a few other regions of the world. Galaxy W owners can install the Value pack update on their handset by either using KIES 2.0 or wait for the OTA update to hit their phone.
