Samsung Galaxy Star And Galaxy Pocket Neo Announced

Samsung recently announced Galaxy Star and Galaxy Pocket Neo entry-level Android phones. These devices will be available in both single SIM and dual SIM versions. Galaxy Star and Galaxy Pocket Neo users can scan the Bluetooth connected devices or wireless access points by simply shaking the devices. These smartphones run on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System.

Samsung Galaxy Star features a 3 inch TFT LCD display, sporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, 1 GHz single-core processor, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS, TouchWiz UI, 2 megapixel rear facing camera, 3.5 mm headset jack, FM Radio with RDS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/EDGE, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Samsung ChatOn and a 1200 mAh battery. It measures 104.95 x 58 x 11.9 mm and weighs 100.5 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo features a 3 inch TFT LCD display, sporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, 850 MHz application processor, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS, TouchWiz UI, Dual SIM capabilites with Multi SIM widget, 2 megapixel rear facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, 4 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Samsung ChatOn, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, A-GPS+GLONASS, 512 MB RAM and a 1200 mAh battery. This handset measures 105 x 57.8 x 11.8 mm and weighs 100.5 grams.

Samsung has not yet announced the price and availability of these devices. Galaxy Star and Galaxy Pocket Neo will compete with Nokia’s Asha smartphones and other entry-level Android phones.
