Samsung Galaxy S3 Test Unit Shows Itself On Video; Packs In A 1.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

With just over 2 weeks left for the Galaxy S III to be announced, the leaks for the handset are getting better and better. Samsung has heavily guarded the look of the Galaxy S III, and thus even leaked pictures of the handset do not provide much information about its final looks.

Today’s leak comes from the folks over at, who managed to get their hands on an engineering sample of the Galaxy S III. They even posted a detailed video review of the handset, before pulling it subsequently. Below is the video that the folks over at had uploaded -:

From the video, it is clear that the Samsung Galaxy S III will come with a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor, an ARM-Mali 400MP GPU (same as Galaxy S2), 1GB of RAM, a 4.6-inch screen with 720p resolution and on-screen navigation buttons like on the Galaxy Nexus. At the back of the handset is an 8MP camera, with a slightly larger sensor and an LED flash. The S3 will come with a massive 2050mAh battery, which will also include the NFC chip of the handset like in the Galaxy Nexus.

While the specs of the S3 look impressive, it would be interesting to see the final retail design of the handset. It would be interesting to see what surprises Samsung has in store for us for its event in London scheduled on May 3rd.
