A previously unknown member of the Samsung Galaxy family has been caught on camera by SamFirmware and Teena. Pictured below is the Samsung S5830, a smaller edition of the popular Galaxy S, which is expected to be announced next month at the Mobile World Congress.

Based the leaked spec sheet, the Samsung S5830 or Galaxy S Mini seems to a budget Android handset that is aimed at those who can’t afford the Galaxy S, but want something more competent than the Galaxy 3 and 5, which are Samsung’s low end Android handsets. The S5830 reportedly runs on FroYo (Android 2.2) and has an HVGA (480 x 320 pixels) display. It features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MicroSD and MicroUSB. The processor being used by Samsung is Qualcomm’s MSM7227.
