Just a few days ago, we had reported that Samsung had released the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for the Galaxy S handset. At that time, the update was available only for the Nordic region. However, it looks like Samsung has pulled the update back due to numerous complaints with the firmware including lagging and bugs. However Samsung is working on releasing another Android 2.2 update soon for all the Galaxy S owners. ![]()
Today, in a press release Samsung announced that they will be releasing a new Android 2.2 based firmware update for the Galaxy S handsets in early November’ in the UK. Hopefully this new Android 2.2 firmware will fix all the issues the original firmware had. Samsung also mentioned that all Android 2.2 update should hit the different operator versions of the Galaxy S by the end of November.
Being an owner of a Samsung Galaxy S myself, I was completely dis-satisfied with the official-now-pulled-back-firmware (JP6).
