We still don’t know when the Samsung Galaxy S 2 will be launched in the US or worldwide, but according to the latest press release by Samsung, it will be available in the UK on May 1. It will be available across all major networks and retailers.
The Galaxy S 2 is the successor to the very popular Galaxy S. It was first announced at the Mobile World Congress 2011. It comes with a 4.3 inch SuperAMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a 1.2 GHz dual core Exynos processor. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage.
It is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with the TouchWiz UI and Swype. It also sports an 8 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. It can also record 1080p videos at 30 FPS and also has a secondary 2 MP camera.
The Galaxy S 2 also comes with Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA and Wi-Fi Direct. It also offers HSPA+ connectivity and A-GPS. It comes with a 1650 mAh Li-ion battery. The pricing details aren’t available yet.
