Samsung Galaxy Beam is a powerful smartphone powered by Google’s Android 2.1 operating system. It is the world’s first smartphone with built-in pico projector. This handset was recently announced in Singapore and it will be available from July 17 on the airwaves of StarHub. Samsung Galaxy Beam features a 3.7 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, Android 2.1 OS, 800 MHz processor, 16GB internal storage, 32GB expandable storage, 3.5 mm audio jack, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection and so on.
Other features include A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE, USB 2.0, HD (720p) video recording, audio and video player, stereo FM radio with RDS, accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, image editor, TV out, Java, 1800 mAh battery, up to 7 hrs 20 mins talk-time and up to 630 hrs standby time.
Samsung Galaxy Beam will be available in Singapore only with the wireless carrier StarHub. This handset will be available for free to SG$398, depending on the plan.
